Community Engagement & Groups
I’m deeply committed to supporting individuals and communities beyond the therapy room. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the Montana Wilderness School, an organization dedicated to transformational outdoor experiences for youth. I’ve also had the privilege of serving as a clinical supervisor for post-graduate social workers and professionals working in community health and nonprofit settings.
In the past, I facilitated fly-fishing retreats for men with cancer through Reel Recovery, and I previously served as a clinical supervisor for the Behavioral Health Department at Bridgercare, where I was also a member of the Board of Directors. These nonprofits provide critical mental, physical, and psychosocial services to underserved populations—and I’m honored to have contributed to their missions.
Grief Group: Loss in the Outdoors
I also lead a free monthly grief support group called Loss in the Outdoors—a space for individuals affected by grief and trauma related to outdoor pursuits. The group is especially supportive for:
Individuals who’ve directly or vicariously experienced trauma in the outdoors
Adventure athletes
Surviving family members, spouses, and friends
Carepartners
First responders working in remote or high-stress environments
Our goal is to foster sustained healing through connection, community, and shared understanding. If you’re interested in attending or learning more, please reach out to ensure the group’s mission aligns with your needs and expectations.
Please note: This group is currently offered in-person only.
Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom - Viktor Frankl
