Other passions of mine include seasonal work facilitating fly-fishing retreats for men with cancer for the international non-profit Reel Recovery (www.reelrecovery.org), as well as retreats for disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through Reel Recovery’s partnership with Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc. I have facilitated hundreds of support groups and currently facilitate a Caregiver Support Group for those caring for a loved-one with dementia-related issues. I also currently serve as a Board Member for three non-profit organizations providing mental and physical health services to underserved populations. Furthermore, I have the honor and privilege to serve as a Clinical Field Instructor for several students enrolled in graduate-level Social Work programs.
When not working, I enjoy long-distance trail running, cross-country skiing and fly-fishing with my wife and dog.
